X16
A fully automated nucleic acid extraction platform for low to medium throughput laboratories, capable of 16 parallel nucleic acid isolations from blood. The device uses its dedicated single-use pre-filled reagent cartridges.

Most of the current molecular genetic laboratories worldwide have a volume of less than 100 molecular tests daily, and the high initial cost of fully automated liquid handling systems compels them to perform the NA extraction process manually. X16 is a low budget yet ample solution for nucleic acid extraction for non-high throughput laboratories.
One other benefit of the device is that it uses dedicated pre-filled and sealed reagent cartridges, minimising the hands-on time for the process. The instrument is capable of 96 isolations per work day, with six sequential operation cycles completed in as short as 30 minutes.
