Rapid IA tests are one of the most widely used tests in detecting proteins and other specific molecules due to their simplicity and cost. But one very important limitation of rapid IAs is that they only give qualitative or semi-quantitative results. This limitation is not because of their chemistry but because of the technique used for analysing the results.
